    Forgive him who wrongs you;
    join him who cuts you off;
    do good to him who does evil to you;
    and speak the truth even if it be against yourself.

    Allah the Almighty said: “I am as My servant thinks of Me. I am with him when he remembers Me. If he mentions Me within himself, I mention him within Myself. If he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in a better assembly. If he comes near to Me a handspan, I come near to him the distance of a cubit. If he comes near to Me the distance of a cubit, I come near to him the distance of two outspread arms. If he comes to Me walking, I come to him running.

    عن أبي هريرة - رضي الله عنه - قال : قال النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - : يقول الله تعالى : ( أنا عند ظن عبدي بي ، وأنا معه إذا ذكرني ، فإن ذكرني في نفسه ذكرته في نفسي ، وإن ذكرني في ملإ ذكرته في ملإ خير منهم ، وإن تقرب إلي بشبر تقربت إليه ذراعا ، وإن تقرب إلي ذراعا تقربت إليه باعا ، وإن أتاني يمشي أتيته هرولة)

    Abu al-‘Abbas ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas, radiyallahu anhuma, reported: One day I was behind the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, and he said to me:
    “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that even if the Nation (or the whole community) were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with something, they would not be able to harm you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.

    عن أبي العباس عبد الله بن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال كنت خلف النبيّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يوما فقال :”يا غلام إنّي أعلّمك كلمات: احفظ الله يحفظك، احفظ الله تجده تجاهك، إذا سألت فاسأل الله، وإذا استعنت فاستعن بالله، واعلم أن الأمة لو اجتمعت على أن ينفعوك بشىء لم ينفعوك إلا بشىء قد كتبه الله لك، ولو اجتمعوا على أن يضرّوك بشىء لم يضروك إلا بشىء قد كتبه الله عليك، رفعت الأقلام وجفّت الصحف” رواه الترمذي

    This is one of my most favorite Hadiths. It always calms my heart at times I feel most troubled.

    It implies a very important advice and general ruling in Islam: Allah’s protection. Ibnu Rajab quoted one scholar as saying: “What a pity for the one who is ignorant of this hadith and has little understanding of its meaning.”. This hadith teaches us how we can live a peaceful and happy life by being mindful of Allah and by totally trusting and worshipping Him. By understanding qadar positively, we will not live a stressful, unhappy life of always worrying about our future or what the consequences of our actions or decisions will be. We do our best to fulfil Allah’s obligations and we trust and accept whatever He wills for us.

    None of you should wish for death because of a calamity befalling him; but if he has to wish for death, he should say: ‘O Allah! Keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and let me die if death is better for me’.
    عَنْ أَنَسٍ رضي اللَّهُ عنه قال : قال رسولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم : ” لا يتَمنينَّ أَحدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ أَصَابَهُ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ لا بُدَّ فاعلاً فليقُل : اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيني ما كَانَت الْحياةُ خَيراً لِي وتوفَّني إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوفاَةُ خَيْراً لِي. ” متفق عليه .
    The Prophet SAW, as narrated by Anas bin Malik RAA [Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 70, Hadith No.575]

    Truly, in the heart there is a void that can not be removed except with the company of Allah.
    And in it there is a sadness that can not be removed except with the happiness of knowing Allah and being true to Him.
    And in it there is an emptiness that can not be filled except with love for Him, by turning to Him and always remembering Him and if a person were given all of the world and what is in it, it would not fill this emptiness.

    Islam is not what Muslims do, but what Muslims should do. And to know what they should do, one needs to learn what are in fact the teachings of Islam. Then after knowing that, then you judge Muslims in accordance with what Islam is. Not to judge Islam in accordance with what Muslims do

    Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Seek help from Allah (SWT) and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don’t say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah (SWT) did that what He had ordained to do and your “IF” opens the (gate) for the Satan.

    Turn not your cheek away from people in scorn and pride, and walk not on earth haughtily; for God does not love anyone who acts proudly and boastfully. Be modest in your bearing and lower your voice; for the ugliest sound is the donkey’s braying.
